About David W Kidd's lighting design work covers theatre, dance, ballet, opera, music events, commercial pantomime, fashion shows and other corporate presentations. Before becoming a freelance lighting designer in 1991, David was employed by Stoll Moss Theatres as Chief Electrician at The Theatre Royal Drury Lane and the Lyric Theatre, Shaftesbury Avenue for thirteen years, working on a wide range of productions in London's West End with many leading lighting designers. His career commenced in the 1970s at the Grand Theatre Swansea, where he developed an early interest in lighting. Here he was given the opportunity to light big name variety shows, in-house repertory productions and the many successful pantomimes at The Grand. David now works worldwide, mainly in the UK, but with productions seen in Europe and the USA. (CLICK HERE FOR CURRENT PRINT FRIENDLY CV)
